Left for retting
Many Bundles of jute stem
In the water full river’s arm
With hidden thread as gem
Brought from green farm
Left for retting
Dead bodies of long thin jute
In the hand of cool calm pond
Many slain bodies without root
To separate thread from wand
Left for retting
Immersed in slow running water
Countless bundles of jute plant
And thread born as daughter
Of those waste body of dead plant
